| In 1962, our predecessor, Larson Rubber Stamp Company, was formed. Typical of many rubber stamp companies in the country, equipment consisted of a small vulcanizer and handset type. The days were spent developing a customer base while nights and weekends were devoted to the manufacture of stamps. From this humble beginning evolved one of the most modern rubber stamp companies in the country, with computerized typesetting equipment and the use of photopolymer (a photosensitive plastic). In addition, engraving and etching equipment were added to provide a more complete line of products to the customer. In 1977 the Larsons sold the operation and the name was changed to Winmark Incorporated, to avoid any inference that rubber stamps were the only product being handled. The new management is experienced in more complex marking and identification systems to add more capability to the already good product base. The goals of the company are to maintain a high quality of products sold along with a continuation of excellent service at competitive prices. We look forward to serving you. |
